Lexmark X5495 won’t scan correctly. Help please?

The two together viola.
The other half go on paint and put the paper around and scan it then turn the other half go on paint and scan the paper around and put the two together viola.

Before scanning, go in the scanner software and make sure it is set to letter size.
Otherwise, select preview and you will see the marquee on top of your pic. Stretch it on each side to cover the entire page and then, select scan. That will scan the entire page
